Smartphone attacks are also growing in multiple folds with the growth of business transactions using mobile phones, there is an exponential increase in mobile malware. In order to make our IT infrastructure resilient against these threats, there is a need for cutting-edge research and development efforts in Cyber Security.  
 

LATEST CYBER ATTACKS

• Website of  National Green Tribunal  (NGT) was hacked by Pakistani Hackers after the surgical strike by Indian Armed Force in PoK.

• Cyber attacks hit banks: SBI blocks 6 lakh debit cards to ward off security threat.    

• Recently, the Twitter and Pinterest accounts of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg were hacked. These accounts were hacked by group called OurMine Team.       

• Official twitter handle of Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi was hacked. A series of abusive tweets were sent out from the handle to its 1.21 million followers.  

• Wanna Cry ransomware targeted worldwide
  computers running microsoft window operating system by encrypting data & demanding ransom payments in bitcoins.
